Meet Jansen Richins, DDS, MS

Dr. Jansen Richins is board-certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Utah, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland. Immediately upon graduating, he moved to Oklahoma City to pursue specialty training in periodontics and implantology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. During his three-year residency, Dr. Richins simultaneously earned a master’s degree. In addition, he is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, the highest academic achievement to be obtained in the specialty of periodontics.

Dr. Richins has been very active in the dental community, providing dental care for those in need during a dental mission to the Dominican Republic and volunteering at the Seattle/King County Dental Clinic. He remains an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Seattle King County Dental Society. He teaches at the University of Washington as an affiliate faculty member and is past president of the Washington State Society of Periodontists. Dr. Richins is a co-owner and practitioner of Advanced Periodontics, Microsurgery and Implantology of Seattle.

Dr. Richins and his wife, Holly, live in the Magnolia neighborhood with their five children.  Currently life is full and the Richins can be found up to their elbows in dirty diapers and empty bottles in their free time, but hope to someday have a profile that includes such adventurous things like skydiving or trekking across Antarctica.
